Garlic Roast Beef Sandwich

This may be the best roast beef sandwich I have ever made. Simple, delicious, and a crock pot meal for an easy family dinner. Throw it all together in the morning and have a great meal ready at the end of the day.

INGREDIENTS:

roast of your choice (I used a 2.5 lb arm roast)

Garlic salt, seasoned to taste - you could use regular salt but it added something, trust me.....

D&D Beef Pennsylvania Pepper Seasoning (coarse black pepper would be okay, but this blend of pepper has great depth of flavor)

5 - 10 Garlic Cloves - 10 for a larger roast, also dependent on personal preference.

1/2 to 1 cup water

Pretzel Buns

INSTRUCTIONS:

If you can, have roast thawed, recipe will work if frozen but will be easier to get the seasoning to "stick" to the meat. Sprinkle roast with pepper and garlic salt on all sides (careful with the garlic salt! A nice thin "dusting" will do) and rub into surface.

Place roast in crockpot, add garlic cloves and water. Do not pour water over roast, you want the spices to stay put to form a crust. Cook on low all day. (6-8 hours depending on size and if frozen when started)

When finished, take 1 whole garlic clove and spread on the inside of the pretzel bun, placed shredded beef on top and drizzle a spoonful of the broth in the crockpot over the beef.
