Everyone loves chicken fried steak and here is a twist on classic "stick to your ribs" meal. The perfect comfort meal to please adults and children.
1 lb cubed steak - season with salt & pepper
Batter:
1 egg
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 ½ cups buttermilk
Dredge:
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
Gravy:
1 tablespoon flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups milk (I used about 1 1/2 cups, add slowly and adjust to your desired gravy thickness)
Preparation:
Great with a side of mashed potatoes!
