Sugar Cookies
A fun (and easy) treat to make with the kids or when you are in a hurry. This sugar cookie recipe is our go to, simple ingredients that you have on hand and easy to decorate for any occasion!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 5 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Extra sugar for rolling dough
DIRECTIONS:
Combine dry ingredients and mix together, add wet ingredients and mix. Roll cookie dough into a ball, lightly roll ball in sugar and press down with bottom of glass. Cook in oven at 350 F, cookies will take approximately 10 minutes to bake. Cool on cooling rack. Decorate with your favorite icing and enjoy!
