If you are looking for a lighter meal that doesn't lack in flavor? Try this grilled steak salad for a quick, protein rich salad. With homemade dressing, pears, craisins, and candied pecans, you will be making this salad every week!
INGREDIENTS:
Dressing:
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon mustard (suggest dijon if you have it!)
- 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 grilled steak (Shop Steaks Here) - If you are looking for a lighter steak, I suggest New York Strip or Sirloin. Salt and Pepper both sides.
Optional Salad Toppings: Fresh pears, craisins, candied pecans.
DIRECTIONS:
Season steak of choice with salt and pepper, grill to designate doneness. (Too cold to grill? Break out the cast iron and add a little oil to pan before cooking)
Let steak rest.
Mix dressing ingredients in mason jar, shake to mix.
Place greens on serving platter, apply dressing to salad. Top with sliced steaks and extra toppings. Enjoy!
